The City Helpline is an innovative tourism company.

Founded and based in Paris, the growing startup is on a mission to make cities easier for travelers.

Its service application enables travelers to instantly connect with a multilingual team of City Helpers, on call to answer all their needs and questions, anytime and on the go.

Built to meet the expectations of today’s modern and tech-savvy travelers, the mobile service imagined by The City Helpline empowers visitors and offers
them a new type of tourism experience : smoother, richer, personalized and much more intuitive. It truly reinvents the way they experience a new destination.

Part of the Welcome City Lab innovation program (the world’s first incubator dedicated to urban tourism), the City Helpline has already won several innovation prizes and sets the ambition to become a game changer in the travel industry.

It already offers a very different experience to people travelling to Paris, and very soon to people travelling to other exciting cities in the world.


Our City Helpers are at the service of travelers to make them feel at home in Paris and ensure they make the most of their time in the city.
They’re here to answer all their needs and queries, and assist them with all their questions in real time - interacting with them on the phone and via the built-in-app chat.
Assisted by artificial intelligence technologies, they provide them with personalized advice and recommendations.
They take care of them at all times, solve all their problems, and do everything they can to make their life as easy and pleasant as possible and enable them to enjoy all the wonders Paris has to offer.

Our City Helpers are in charge of providing high quality care to our users, going above and beyond to deliver extraordinary service and delight them at every step of their journey.

Key responsibilities

User satisfaction is your prime objective.

You’ll be :
Looking after our users, responding and interacting with them (on the phone and via the built-in-app chat), ensuring all their queries are dealt with in a timely manner
Providing users with guidance and technical support, relaying information and feedback to the tech team to fix bugs and improve app performance
Sharing ideas and improving recommendations based on users’ feedback with team to influence strategy and shape the future of the service.

To succeed in this role, you should be : positive, friendly, empathic, understanding, patient.


Proactive, self-driven and adaptable to a fast-pace startup environment
Passionate about travel / well-traveled and excited about raising our mission : bringing simplicity and humanity back to urban tourism

Committed to the growth and success of The City helpline and willing to tackle a whole host of challenges together with the team


Native-english speaker
Fluency in French
Fluency in another foreign language is a plus


1+ year in digital customer care

Essential skills

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent interpersonal skills
Digital nerd (not afraid of computers, mobiles, databases, spreadsheets, emails, instant messaging platforms, internet and CRM applications) and ability to type super fast.
