We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience in Press relations and digital communications who is able to create compelling and persuasive content that showcases and highlights the economic achievements of France as well as the Business France brand. The position is available ASAP. Missions: Under the supervision of the Head of Communications, the corporate and promotion communications officer will: • be the coordinator for all activities related to the promotion and enhancement of the economic image of France in North America including the two promotional campaigns, the Business France corporate campaign and the Creative France campaign. • adapt media communication tools and manage and organize PR activities with respect to the press (for important economic events and press releases). • Establish a network of contacts with the American economic media/press and liaise with them with respect to the various tasks attributed by the head of communications. • design and prepare press/media reports and briefs for the business France north America director as well as the business France spokesperson and or any visiting dignitary from the business France head office. • Prepare Business France North America corporate reports, testimonials, newsletters… • maintain and updates a lists of influencers and key opinion leaders (journalist, bloggers, corporate contacts etc.) and contribute to the development of this list. • receive information and resources from our head office and use this material to create and manage content adapted to the North American public. • manage and develop the digital media communication channels of Business France North America and develop social media content. • monitor the economic image of France in the media as well as the effects of our campaigns. • analyze all types of resource to suggest and design social media campaigns adapted to both our objectives in North America (invest and export). • participate in the implementation of our 2017 action plan related to the promotion of the creative France campaign as well as the Business France export and invest related activities. • Other duties as assigned with respect to the marketing services for French companies (the position can evolve with time with respect to the strategy and requirements of Business France). Essential requirements: • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of media writing, journalism, and/or economics or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Language: ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing in French and English is mandatory. Please indicate your level of knowledge in French and English in your application. Most communications will be made in English although all meetings and exchanges will be conducted in French. • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Digital Marketing and/or PR. Experience and skills requirements: • Experience with Press relations and media relations. • Experience with digital communication, social media and digital content creation. • Ability to understand intricate economical topics (investments, general economic trends) and to handle them with the necessary expertise. • Know how to exploit economic data and reports to transform it in appealing visual format. • Experience (professional or personal) in audio/video recording and/or production, such as video testimonials – we use camcorders and very simple production software. • Proficient in the use of the Adobe Design Suite (at least 2 out of the 3 following programs: In design, Illustrator, Photoshop) Interpersonal skills requirements: • Self-motivated; willingness to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with both American and French cultures. • Francophile with a strong cultural affiliation with France and an excellent know how of the French way of working. • Ability to think strategically, set priorities and manage concurrent projects, handle pressure, manage time effectively, exercise independent judgment and assume responsibility for seeing projects through to timely and successful completion. • Experience in PR combined with an interest in international development is a plus. Successful candidate must have a valid passport and the required documentation allowing the right to work in the United States and travel as necessary. Documentation will be required.
